Test Analyst - AutomationWorking at one our clients main office's in Leeds, you will be tasked with making decisions that influence the success of testing projects and overall team objectives. Utilising your experience in writing automation tests, strategies, plans, frameworks and scripts you will be heavily involved in a number of projects across the development teams.Role responsibilities:

'€¢Work closely with other software engineers and software test engineers to build and deliver high volume, secure, defect free and resilient software'€¢Contribute to and help implement End to End Automation test strategy'€¢Write clear, maintainable automation test frameworks that will scale across a number of projects and distributed development teams'€¢Constantly work to improve the code/scenarios under test KPI's'€¢Contribute to the evolution of our testing and coding standards for our technology eco-systems'€¢Promote good software engineering practices (e.g. ensuring high unit test coverage, defensive/performant and secure code, zero defect software, big O notation etc)'€¢Pro-actively seek out what's going on in the technology industry and promote a culture of continuouslearning'€¢Ensure the software created by the team meets the needs of the business'€¢Fully own your software stack by participating in implementation and post-implementation activities'€¢Contribute to test artefacts ensuring they are produced and maintained'€¢Understand both waterfall and Agile development approaches and adapt tests appropriately

Skills required:

'€¢ISEB certification to intermediate level as minimum, but an advanced qualification is preferred'€¢Good understanding of TDD and BDD concepts'€¢Work in a cross functional team taking collective responsibility for the team's technical deliverables and quality'€¢Proven software testing experience in a multi speed IT environment'€¢Proven experience of working in teams in the successful delivery of complex, highly performing and high quality software systems'€¢Proven experience of working with business stakeholders, Product Owners and Business Analysts to analyse requirements, develop ideas and design effective testing solutions'€¢Commercial experience of JavaScript, Selenium WebDriver and other Open source testing frameworks
