Location - Midlands commutable from Birmingham, Warwick, Coventry, Stratford upon Avon

Salary: £24,775 - £29,000 pa

Are you an experienced Test engineer with experience working within carrying out dynamic testing in a research and development department? Are you looking for an immediately available long term contract role?

My client are a global research and development centre brought in to reinvigorate the UK's manufacturing industry and they are looking to add a Test Engineer working with various metals and other materials.

On a day to day basis you will be working with hydraulic and pneumatic test frames and will be familiar with sample preparation techniques, be able to execute test programmes according to relevant standards using thermal and micro analytical techniques, be competent in the operation of materials characterisation equipment as well as liaising with other staff and external partners in the setting up, maintenance and running the specialist equipment.

You will need to be used to recording data collected from carrying out the testing.

The Role:

* Testing of metals and other materials (NDT etc.)

* Liaising with external sources and other staff

* Operation and maintenance of machinery

The Person:

* Experience of dynamic testing of various materials

* Experience with thermal, NDT etc

* Excellent communication and writing skills
