Field Based (with travel to sites across the UK)

Our client is an innovative medical solutions provider that works hand-in-hand with the NHS to deliver solutions and responses to patient-related issues. Having developed a strong service offering, they have also created a range of products to provide comfort and relief to healthcare patients and the bed-ridden.

The company is now looking for a Service Engineer to join their dedicated team. This role is based in South Yorkshire/the Midlands, but this is primarily a national role.

The Role:

As a Service Engineer, you will provide technical support and maintenance services to customers throughout the UK.

In this key role, you will:

- Project manage national technical projects, installations and repairs

- Co-ordinate local and national modifications, field upgrades and retrofits

- Provide technical support for newly launched products

- Plan the implementation of product modifications, upgrades and field corrections

- Train and supervise junior members of staff

- Order spare parts

- Provide basic product training to customers

- Ensure compliance with internal and external quality processes

About You:

To be considered as a Service Engineer, you’ll need:

- Previous mechanical or electrical engineering experience

- To be a mechanical or electrical licensed engineer

- Thorough knowledge of H&S regulations

- Basic IT skills, including MS Office

- A City and Guilds 2377 Electrical Safety Testing qualification

- The ability to take part in an on-call rota

- A full, valid driving licence and experience of driving a large van

Due to the nature of this role, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a DBS (formerly CRB) check.
