Business Analysts - Business Support Services
Contract: Permanent
Location: CAMBRIDGE, GB
Salary: £32,100 - £43,300
Can your analytical and consultative skills help us find the solutions to our problems?
At Cambridge Assessment English we are expanding our Business Process function. We are looking for experienced Business Analysts to solicit, document and evaluate business requirements on a wide range of projects to deliver business process and system change initiatives, introducing improvements on a global scale.
Working with a large team, including Project Managers and other Business Analysts, whose focus is on mapping your solutions into the operations, your focus will include IT and Business change projects, working to develop these into functional and non-functional change recommendations.
This is a great chance to showcase your existing process modelling skills (‘As Is’ & ‘To Be’) and identify the activities needed to transition to new ways of working, supporting the delivery of product and business objectives for Cambridge English.
These roles are critical to the success of our projects. Working to form a consensus opinion across diverse stakeholder groups, you will be able to help shape the requirements and strategic direction of project and programme delivery.
Influencing is key, as you challenge assumptions to ensure that the solution meets the needs, and business changes are adopted and embed within departments.
Those who are able to multitask between reconciling conflicts, translating high-level information into a general understanding, and distinguishing user requests from the underlying true needs, will thrive in this exciting role, where no one day is the same.
Ready to be one of a team of ‘Subject Matter Experts’ and help ensure that the project delivers what the business needs, then we would like to hear from you.
What we’re looking for
You’ll be educated to degree level, or equivalent and if you have a business analysis qualification that would be great, but not essential. Confident in process modelling and all the tools and their applications, you already have excellent time management skills and won’t be afraid to change the status quo - constructively and appropriately challenge what, why and how things are!
As an excellent communicator, you will be able to constructively represent and promote a given position, view or recommendation; encouraging the adoption of a given recommendation or proposal with respect to customers and project team members.
You will be able to develop and run workshops, face-to-face and remote consultation processes, delivering effectively to tight deadlines, and able to carry out critical appraisal and evaluation, providing constructive feedback regarding project deliverables.
The ability to operate rationally at times of high pressure is essential, as is your experience in integrated people, process and technology change.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leader and be rewarded with valuable learning opportunities, a competitive salary and benefits.
Benefits
In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a superb range of benefits:
Generous contributory pension
28 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
Annual performance related bonus and increases (discretionary)
Enhanced maternity/paternity pay and childcare voucher scheme
Employee discount and cash back scheme at 2,500 retailers
Cycle scheme
Subsidised canteens
Support for professional qualifications
