Research Engineer - Mapping and Localisation

Research Engineer - Mapping and Localisation vacancy based in Cambridge within the autonomous industry. This is a great Research Engineer vacancy within a start up that has received a wealth of funding and is currently looking at expanding in size. There is opportunity to grow within the company. As a Research Engineer - Mapping and Localisation, you will be working with Software Engineers from backgrounds such as AI, Planing, Computer Vision, Controls and others and will be working in the mapping and localisation team.
Eligible Research Engineer will have a relevant degree such as Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or similar and commercial experience in;
1- High proficiency in C++ and have used it in a large software project
2- Experience within Mapping and SLAM knowledge highly advantageous
3- Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms
Experience with Slam algorithms, sensor fusion, ROS and probabilistic modelling would be highly advantageous.
Ideal candidate would be at a mid to senior level (3+ years). Looking to start a career and with the hard work and motivation to grow professionally.
