Our client is looking for Linux Systems Administrator to carry out the defined strategic roadmap for Linux systems. You will identify and recommend activities to meet the strategic business requirements as well as activities to make recommendations on the use and development of these platforms to further improve and enhance the use across the organisation. A key objective of this job is to ensure that Cloud and on premise Linux system deployments, builds, design, and associated infrastructure and environments (including development, test and production environments), conform to quality assurance, security and system-specific requirements, and meet service level agreements for availability and performance, as well as adhering to the technical strategy. The right candidate will have experience of leadership and staff development in a technical/support team environment. You must Extensive technical experience of wide variety of server and storage technologies at an architecture, design and technical expert level following IT security best practice.

Key technical experience includes

* Extensive experience of Microsoft Windows Servers 2008 and 2012, Virtualisation technologies, enterprise SAN technologies (preferably Hitachi) and other server and infrastructure technologies in a large enterprise environment, either holding appropriate qualifications or working toward them

* Have experience of providing quality / technical assurance within complex projects Experience of continuous integration and continuous delivery within an agile development team

* Experience of administering network security including configuring firewalls, Kerberos and LDAP

* Experience of administering a Hadoop cluster, ideally Cloudera

* Experience of administering containerised applications using Docker

* Experience with Kickstart

* Experienced in use and administration of the Linux operating system

* Experience of administering network security including configuring firewalls, Kerberos and LDAP

* Familiarity with administration of cloud Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) self-service environments
