A new opportunity for a Junior Project Manager has arisen with a well-respected, leading company as part of their growing Software Development team. Based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, the Junior Project Manager will support the Delivery Manager in the smooth running of bespoke software development projects, whilst taking accountability of the project plans, scheduling, risk management and analysis tasks. With the help of the Delivery Manager, within 2-3 months the Junior Manager will be responsible for running their own end-to-end projects!

The company in turn offer fantastic career opportunities, with the chance for the Junior Project Manager to step up into a Scrum Master role and assist in the preparation of the Product backlog. This role will ideally suit someone with a good academic background, and proven commercial experience in either PMO, Project Office, Project Management or Business Analysis, within a technical environment.

Skills and experience required for the Junior Project Manager:

* Demonstrable experience (ideally end-to-end) in either PMO, Project Office, Project Management or Business Analysis (project planning, scheduling, risk management and analysis)

* Exposure to and understanding of all aspects of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)

* Agile/Scrum methodology experience is a must-have, relevant certifications (i.e. Scrum Master) beneficial

* Waterfall and Prince2 delivery knowledge/experience

* Project experience covering the areas of web, database technologies and mobile applications would be useful

* A data-driven and analytical approach is key

* Outstanding communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to build good relationships with internal staff and external customers

* Driving licence and access to a car is preferred as there will be some travel to client site on occasion

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience) + pension, 22 d/h (rises to 25 with length of service), annual bonus scheme
