We currently have a requirement for a Senior Planner to work for a large main contractor on two £100m+ regeneration schemes in Central London.

Predominantly working on large mixed-use developments and regeneration schemes, this opportunity is to work for the specialist arm of a large, national main contractor. Projects are almost always exclusively £100m+ in size and often incorporate elements of residential, commercial, retail, leisure and some public buildings - sometimes including high-rise.

Our client is seeking a Senior Planner with experience working as a Planning Engineer on UK projects (and thus an understanding of British construction processes, contracts, etc), capable of producing complex programmes and potentially running multiple sites concurrently. Managing and mentoring Junior Planners to aid with updating & monitoring progress is key, although you'll be expected to take a lead position on stakeholder engagement and management and subsequent reporting. The current software of choice is Asta Powerproject. For the right person, a career path to Planning Manager is achievable within 2-3 years, if so desired.

Required:

- At least 5-7 years + construction planning experience in a main contractor environment on UK projects.

- Relevant construction/engineering degree.

- Previous man management responsibility would be a bonus.

- Proactive, positive individual.

- Eligible to work in the UK.

"Brickwork" has over 25 years combined experience of providing specialist Planning & Project Controls recruitment services across the UK and EMEA region; if you are looking for a new role but feel that this position doesn't suit, please get in touch with one of our team to discuss other potential opportunities.
