Programmer Analyst

A globally and long established, independent asset management firm are seeking a Programmer Analyst to join its information Technology team in their London office.

Responsibilities of the Programmer Analyst role are:

* Developing software applications for front, middle and back-office areas of the business, that will be designed to increase workflow, productivity and the capabilities of the departments as a whole

* To improve the automation on the systems that are already in place

* Troubleshooting, documenting and maintaining applications and associated systems

Desired skills/attributions for the ideal candidate for the Programmer Analyst role are:

* A background in programming with a financial technology firm

* Proven success working with C# and/or Java

* Exceptional working understanding of SQL

* Strong analytical skills, with excellent written and verbal communication skills as in this role you will be working with a global team across offices. You will also be working with the end users across the business to ensure successful implementation.

To be considered for the role the candidate should have proven experience in the following areas:

* Business domain knowledge: equity trading, operations / settlements, P&L, risk and compliance

* Systems domain knowledge: Electronic trading systems, real-time market data platforms, historical market data, securities reference data
