3rd Line Support Engineer

Our client are a global commercial giant who currently have a vacancy available for a 3rd Line Support Engineer. Based in Wantage Oxfordshire, the 3rd Line Support Engineer will be joining a fantastic, staff-centric company on a 14 month FTC. The 3rd Line Support Engineer will provide expert technical 3rd line and infrastructure support on the IT products within the operational support environments.

Technical Skills and Experience required include:

3rd line technical support

SharePoint support

Active Directory and Windows based support

Sage X3

Office365 online

Networking - LAN/WAN

AS400

SAP

Windows Server support

Data analysis skills, including Sarbanes Oxley would be would be advantageous for this role

Experience of helpdesk management would be beneficial

Other responsibilities in this 3rd Line Support Engineer position include:

Develop and drive the Software Licensing process

SharePoint service owner

To provide technical leadership within areas of expertise and then leverage this expertise to be a key driver of the technology’s continuous improvement lifecycle

To define, resolve and document solutions to problems.

Contribute to continuous improvement of the support function

Ensure compliance with ITIL based procedures (particularly change control and testing policies)

Organise, develop and handle all aspects of systems documentation (SOPs, SDP, SKMS etc…)

Monitor calls and provide support to other team leaders in order to improve calls handling and to reduce calls backlog

Ensure full compliancy with governance rules in place, including Sarbanes Oxley and ISO processes

Based in a beautiful location in the south Oxfordshire countryside, the offices are commutable from a wide range of areas (mainly in Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Wiltshire) including Wantage, Oxford, Didcot, Abingdon, Swindon, Faringdon, Newbury, Reading, High Wycombe and many more!
