DV Clear Test Lead - 6 Month Contract - Ipswich

My client one of the world's leading providers of communications solutions is seeking a highly skilled Test Lead who holds current and valid MOD DV clearance. With a proven background in creating test approaches, managing test execution and defect correction you will also have had regular exposure to external customers on a face to face basis.

Core Duties:

* Strong problem investigation and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyse and resolve technical issues around Software installation.

* Capability to work in partnership with Architecture to scope and understand the client's requirements.

* Ability to critique architectural designs within your technical competencies.

* Competence to confidently work in partnership with the client to deliver working solutions to deadlines.

* Proficiency to be able to communicate progress and issues to agreed Stakeholders in a timely understandable manner.

* Diligence that delivers documentation to support the technical solution, and also in partnership with Architecture evolves the original design documentation to be reflective of the actual build.

* Proven Test Lead Capabilities

* Stakeholder Management

* Comprehensive Acceptance testing experience (SAT / UAT)

* Effective Test Planning Capabilities

* Comprehensive planning, monitoring and reporting skills.

* Strong analytical and technical skills and knowledge of test environment and system integration.

* Comprehensive appreciation of the software development lifecycle and the need for testing.

Technical Skill Set Required:

* Understand networks (CCNA or equivalent experience)

* Proficient in RedHat Enterprise Linux/CentOS 5/6/7.x ( or equivalent) (Ideally with certification)

* Understanding of Databases and SQL

* Experience with installations, monitoring and troubleshooting

* Application layer testing experience ( layer 7)

* Have recent experience in testing large scale distributed network / application type projects

* Any knowledge of VMWARE (vsphere), AD, DHCP, DNS, NIS, networking and Storage Technologies and Ixia perfect storm, configuration and testing is highly desirable.
