DEVOPS INCIDENT AND MONITORING SPECIALIST: (LINUX, APPDYNAMICS, SPLUNK, SCRIPTING, JENKINS)

The role location is based in LONDON on a 6 month contract.

The role involves working on an out of hours on call rota that will include weekends and Bank Holidays.

Must Have Essential Key skills & Background:

· Experienced in production support with strong technical competencies in DevOps Pipeline resulting from previous working experience within an IT operational or support environment.

· Strong interpersonal, influencing, communication skills and able to interact appropriately with users of various technical and support skill levels.

· Ability to adapt and understand new technologies.

· Strong analytical skills.

· Strong fault finding/diagnostics/trouble-shooting skills.

· Methodical approach to problem solving and attention to detail.

· The key focus of the role is to improve the maturity of the DevOps support organisation resulting in a sustainable DevOps culture

Desirable

· Experience with monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk

· Effective communication skills both written and oral in English

· Platform knowledge across Unix, Linux, Java, Apache, Database, & MQ technologies

· Scripting knowledge across scripting languages such as Bash, Perl

· Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager and Mule ESB is a plus

· Experience on Agile methodology and DevOps adaptation in the banking environment is definitely an advantage.

· Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration environments is a plus
