Rare and exciting role on offer for a Product Development Manager from a highly regulated industry looking for a varied and autonomous role where you will have a real opportunity to put your stamp on a role and play an instrumental part of the success of this prestigious company.

Do you have a product design, manufacturing or mechanical engineering degree or related? Do you have experience of working within a highly regulated industry?

Established for over 70 years this company design and manufacture highly specialist products for Hazardous environments which are used worldwide. They have just joined forces with a global leading business which has created a global distribution network which will see this business expand. They are now looking to recruit a Product Development Manager who will lead the technical department and develop their range of cutting edge products.

This is an extremely varied role where no two days are the same. You will lead a small technical team which involves design, product development, testing and manufacturing. You will ensure compliance for all products including product certification and approval for CE Marking. Whilst leading the team you will manage projects from sales to delivery.

This exciting but varied role would ideally suit an experienced Technical Manager who understands the pressures and timescales of working within a highly regulated industry who has previously lead projects and teams of people. It would suit someone who is looking to add structure and standardise their processes and therefore enabling you to really put your stamp on the role.

The Role;

* Lead and motivate the technical team

* Design and delivery of new products

* Liaising with clients and suppliers

* Occasional travel to client sites

* Performing technical investigations

* Product certification and approval for CE Marking

* £45,000 - £50,000 + 25 Days Holiday + Excellent Pension

The Person;

* Product Development Manager

* Project Management experience

* Must have experience of working within a highly regulated environment

* Mechanical Engineering / Product Design or Manufacturing Degree

* Experience of developing people

* Live local to Milton Keynes or serious about relocating to the area
