About the Team:

Working in the mobile data domain we are responsible for installation, integration, support and fault fix of the infrastructure, databases and applications for the Smart Metering Environment . The team`s responsibilities are end to end troubleshooting of smart metering central and distributed infrastructure, database and application issues. The team also provide operational consultancy to help shape the design, testing and operation of new applications, products and services.

Your Role:

This exciting high visibility role is working as a second line on-call support engineer within the mobile data domain, you will build, integrate and support our new smart metering environment. Implementation, administration, support and patching of production and non-production databases. This will include upgrades, tuning, optimization, backups and resource management.

Responsibilities:

-Deliver a five nines service.

-SLAx1 >=94%.

-Maintain and enhance database platform functionality.

-Support project deliverables (SMIP releases and DCC 2.0).

-Input and review of database & architectural design decisions.

Skills & experience:

-Oracle 12c

-Oracle Engineered Platforms (Exadata and ODA)

-Oracle Grid (OEM) support and development.

-RAC cluster - install, configure and maintain.

-Enhance and automate MySQL DBA Operational and Maintenance procedures.

-Working knowledge of Unix/Linux is essential (preferably RHEL).Grade: PTG
