JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Web Developer with HTML, PHP, JavaScript / JQuery development skills and experience working on WordPress and Drupal platforms.

Working as the Web Developer you will be involved with developing new WordPress websites and plugins, which will also involve some maintenance and development of Drupal websites and modules.

As the Web Developer, you will also be involved with developing security features, page load optimisation features, new features to enhance usability, eCommerce features and overall web site performance improvements.

The company has ambitious plans to develop and invest in cross-platform and WordPress Multisite technologies. As the Web Developer, you will also be working on some advanced features, requiring a strong knowledge of PHP, WordPress and Some JavaScript. Understanding of Facebook, Twitter and Google APIs will also be useful.

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Technical Skills:

                                         Previous commercial experience working as a Web Developer

                                         Extensive experience working on WordPress and Drupal platforms

                                         Strong website / application development skills in PHP, JavaScript / jQuery and HTML

                                         Highly skilled at developing website functions, plugins and modules including widgets

                                         Meeting/liaising with internal clients to discuss requirements and/or project progress

                                         Thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues

                                         Experience working with WordPress Multisite

                                         Experience working with eCommerce platforms

                                         Experience working with Git version control and remote repositories

Desirable Skills:

                                         Knowledge of PHP frameworks (Zend framework, Symphony framework, CakePHP)

                                         HTML and CSS front-end development knowledge
