ISL Recruitment has just registered a brand-new opportunity for a Senior Product Manager to join one of the UK's market leading software companies, based in Leeds.
The senior product manager will be responsible for managing the product lifecycle for an HR solutions product within the wider divison. They will be specialists within the HR arena and will build key relationships with relevant third parties so that they become aware of the changing requirements as well as keeping abreast of legislation. They will be responsible for building up user groups to participate in beta and early adopter programs.
The senior product manager will be responsible for the product portfolio and own the product roadmaps, they will also be responsible for investigating additional opportunities within the key markets, identifying potential third party suppliers and negotiating contracts with the aim of increase the current product portfolio offered.
Main responsibilities
Conducting external analysis of the market, customer base and competition.
Creation of business cases to support future product investment
Interpreting the analysis and defining the impact on existing products or identifying the need for new products.
Communication of requirements for additional product to the senior management team.
Identifying suitable third-party suppliers / partners and carrying out contract negotiations.
Communicating product/ portfolio plans to the relevant departments: Marketing, Sales & Support
Release Management and approving the copy of relevant communications
Managing the communication of new releases, bugs and enhancements to external and internal parties,
Liaising with the necessary departments within the business and working closely with the development teams to ensure agreed milestones/targets are met.
Acting as "face" of the product group when liaising with stakeholders/customers
Running Beta programs
Ensure the accuracy of product specifications
Managing the ongoing relationship with third party suppliers / partners
Ownership of the HR product stack / product roadmaps
In order to be suitable for this position, you will need to hold the following skills and abilities:
*Experience in the full product management lifecycle
*Significant experience of working within the software industry
*Presentation delivery to key stakeholders
*Contract negotiation and supplier/partner management
*Strong HR domain knowledge with good understanding of key HR legislation
*Good understanding of payroll including RTI & AE legislation preferable
*Knowledge of Pragmatic Marketing / Sirius Decisions Frameworks would be advantageous
