Engineering Customer Services Manager (After-Sales)

£35-45K plus car allowance, pension, phone and 25 days holiday

East Manchester area, commutable from Oldham, Droylsden, Hyde, Manchester, Ashton-under-Lyne, Stockport, Rochdale

37 hours/week, 8.30-5 Mon-Thurs, 8.30-4 Fri

Are you from a Electrical/Mechanical Engineering background with superb customer facing and management skills looking to work for a major player in the lighting industry?

This role will suit an ambitious candidate who has the drive to progress their career in a supportive environment, working for a large global leader in their industry.

You will be managing a small team that responds to and resolves customer electrical and mechanical warranty concerns

Therefore the role will include:

1.Staff management of a small team and the day to day running of the department

2.Dealing with on-site electrical contractor customers, over the phone and or via emails to resolve a variety of mechanical and electrical issues

3.Organising resources, service engineers, subcontractors and material that are required to service luminaire issues on site

4.Collating information and materials that allow the identification of failure trends and the reclaiming of costs incurred on faults relating to purchased materials.

5.Site visits to resolve more complex technical issues such as the integration of the system to our luminaires

To apply you should have:

1.Working and/or academic background in electrical/mechanical engineering

2.Staff management experience

3.Excellent customer service skills and experience including superb spoken and written communication

This role is primarily a customer service position which we are looking for a candidate who is prepared to achieve customer service excellence. They must also be comfortable speaking and presenting information in front of customer's and colleagues.
