Lead Systems Engineer / Production Operations - Linux, Linux & More Linux!

Renowned organisation with a rapidly expanding infrastructure covering five continents are seeking an experienced Lead Systems Engineer with high-level Linux expertise.

In securing this post you will play a significant and pivotal part in a Global Team responsible for operational support of the company's Linux Server estates, Web Based Apps, JBoss, Tomcat, OutSystems, Apache HTTP Server, OpenAM, BizTalk and/or WebSphere.

As the Senior Systems Linux Engineer you will to contribute to the Technical Support and Technical Engineering of a global server infrastructure.

Your experience will include:

* Exceptional RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) experience.

* Excellent knowledge of web based technologies (JBoss, Tomcat, OutSystems, Apache HTTP Server, OpenAM, BizTalk, WebSphere)

* Expertise in relational database systems - MySQL, SQL Server 2005/2008/2012, Oracle 11 and Oracle RAC.

* Strong knowledge of LDAP design & implementation & Windows networking

* Strong knowledge of AWS

* Scripting/programming experience in Puppet, PowerShell, PERL, .NET, or UNIX Shell a plus

* Knowledge and experience administering multi-platform operating system environments (Windows and LINUX)

* Experience with Storage Management Solutions (SAN, NAS, etc.)

* Working knowledge of networking systems and protocols, firewalls and TCP/IP networks, standards, and architectures. Hands-on knowledge of load balancers and firewalls desired. In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP and IP routing protocols.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills, self-directed, mentor, quick learner, team player, personable with management and team members, organized and willing to do what it takes to get the job done.

This challenging and exciting position requires strong knowledge of Linux and ideally Microsoft Windows Server platforms in large server estates.
