Data Analyst

The Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a proven Data Analyst to join a leading financial services company in Edinburgh and support a key regulatory project within commercial banking. This is a 3 month rolling contract paying between £400-430/day.

Responsibilities

* Lead the preparation of data lineage documentation from source through to use

* Lead the preparation of data quality orientated reports, including providing any relevant recommendations for improvement or risk mitigation

* Lead the analysis of data, making recommendations for improvement as necessary to enhance the effective reporting, management or quality of this data

Essential skillset

* Good data analysis

* Business Analysis and interpretation

* Must be able to document data lineage for critical risk data attributes

* Data mapping / data analysis and reporting

* Good understanding of regulatory risk

Technical capability

* SQL

* Business Objects

* Teradata - highly desirable

* Oracle - highly desirable
