C/C++ Software Engineer needed for established worldwide business in Worcestershire. Sat within a team of 15 Software Engineers, you will help design, implement and configure software for the company's leading control systems.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop your skills within Low Level Software & Hardware, Low Level Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Compliant Software & Applications Software. You will also encompass Systems Development, Systems Deployment in Harsh Environments, Software Specification, Software Design, Software Validation and Software Development.

An Agile Development Methodology will be utilized across the team, within 4 week sprints. Experience of working within this timeframe or process, will certainly make you stand out against the crowd.

The following skills are required. However, the company will not expect you to have outstanding experience within each category, and will help to provide daily support in areas of;

* 5 years' commercial experience within software programming. Exposure to control of Electronic Circuits, Industrial Machinery or Computer systems will be highly desirable.

* Experience of Control and Automation Systems.

* Knowledge of C and C++ Subsets such as MISRA & Static Analysis Tools.

Current Projects;

* Low-Level Hardware interfaced with Custom Operating Systems.

* In-House 'Object Oriented' Application Software, associated with ARM7 Processor Platforms.

* Simulators and Test Tools, written in Visual C++, C#, ARM7 C.

* Access Databases used to simulate Communication Systems.

* TCP/IP gateways and WiFi Technologies connected to Embedded Systems.

* HMI Systems developed in Java (Eclipse), Camera Systems, RFID Tracking Systems Control Software is written in C/C++.

Personal Experience;

* Ability to appreciate and comprehend overall system perspective, and impact change if required.

* Able to recognise and create solutions for physical problems.

* Ability to work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

* Good time management skills and the ability to handle several tasks concurrently.

Desirable Experience;

* Familiar with Emulators, Oscilloscopes or Logic Analysers.

* Familiar with ARM, x86, 8051, PIC and 68000 Microprocessors.

* Appreciation of Documentation and Test Procedures.

* Appreciation of Commercially Sensitive Environments.

* Ability to adapt to Software Coding Methods, Quality and Rationalisation.

* Appreciation of Version Control Tools such as PVCS, Case Tools.

* Appreciation of Multitasking Operating Systems.

* Appreciation of Visual C++ and Access Programming.

* Experience of Git Version Control

A Degree or HND in Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering will be highly desirable, and certainly make you stand out against the crowd.
