We are looking for a UX/UI expert to join a very fast growing software house to head up the UX/UI function. You will be based in Oxford but the company has a flexible approach to working from home.

What will I be doing?

Your role will be to provide support and guidance on user experience to the Software Development team. It has always been a focus but now the company would like to have a specialist in this area.

You will be getting involved in the project lifecycle from the start to understand the user's needs alongside the developers, providing mentoring to the team on UX/UI concepts along the way. You will also be involved with designing graphic user interface elements yourself. Then you will need to build and add these to a library of UI assets. During projects you will help with Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps. You will also develop prototypes and UI mock-ups that illustrate how sites and applications function and look like. This role will get you involved with a wide variety of people within the business and external customers. This role is all about helping the products connect with people better and you will need to also connect with others in the business too.

What skills will I need?

Someone with a history in a similar role where you have been the lead figure on UI/UX within a team environment.

Good portfolio / track record of work

Can show the ability to adapt to a new market and be able to quickly apply UX design principles

We want someone who loves technology and has experience with content authoring tools

We need someone who is proactive with a great eye for detail and has a passion for quality

Be a confident and clear communicator who is able to interact effectively with technical experts and senior representatives.

Capable of working effectively with minimal supervision.
