N Brown is undergoing a significant transformation programme to become a leading digital fashion retailer we have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious apprentice to join our technology team. This is a unique opportunity to expand your career in a fast-moving online retail business, developing your technical and commercial knowledge through exposure to crucial projects across all business areas.

You’ll be developing Mobile Apps for our major brands. We’re now looking to grow our App offering to further brands.

You’ll use your technical skills to develop cutting-edge solutions to benefit our colleagues and customers. You’ll use your problem-solving skills to support business-facing projects to ensure solutions meet business needs.of our apps and ensure we deliver solutions which lead the way in the online shopping experience.

What you’ll need to succeed:

As a minimum, we ask that you have personal or educational project experience of developing in HTML, Java, Javascript, Jquery, CSS and SQL. Experience of Mobile and Cloud technologies would be advantageous

You’ll need at least five GCSEs (or equivalent) of grades A*-C (or new grading of 4-9) including Maths, English and IT. You will also need to possess a minimum of three A-Levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above that include a minimum of one IT related subject, preferably Computer Science.

The apprenticeship starts in September 2018 so you’ll need to have finished full-time education by this date.

You should have a passion for user experience. You’ll also need excellent written and verbal communication skills as this role will involve regular interaction with teams across the business.

Once you’ve learned the basics, you’ll be assigned to varied projects so a flexible approach and exceptional time management skills are essential. You’ll need to be comfortable managing a varied workload to deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
