The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Environmental Trials Support Engineer to join a leading Global Defence Technology & Security Organisation, based in Essex.
Responsibilities
* The successful candidate will work within the planning team at the Environmental Test Center at MOD Shoeburyness.
* You will gain an understanding of the bid process and when competent, lead this process liaising directly with the project manager and customer.
* You will deliver complex testing of high value assets to assess their performance within the demanding operational environments that the systems will be subjected to throughout their operational life.
* To achieve this you will have an understanding as to how to stimulate test assets with vibration, shock, climatic and temperature profiles as well as the inspection and radiography of the equipment throughout the test regime.
* You will lead a team of specialists through the Hazardous activities Management process culminating in a approved suite of trials documentation complete with risk assessments and transportation plans.
* At the completion of the trials activity you will produce a trials report for the customer
Requirements
* Proficient in Microsoft Office software
* Knowledge and experience within a relevant engineering subject.
* Clean driving license
* Desirable Qualifications
* Working Knowledge of environmental engineering
* Working Knowledge of Test and Evaluation process
