Technical Architect 

Stockport, Greater Manchester 

Up to £60,000 Plus Bonus (5% of salary) 

If you are a Technical Architect with knowledge of metering products or systems, this is a superb opportunity to build on your existing expertise with an international business.  

Our client is a provider of integrated energy management solutions. As a world-leading company, they are now looking for a Technical Architect to join their team. 

Within a culture of continuous learning and development, you will have the chance to play a large role in our client’s ongoing technological research.  

As a Technical Architect, you will guide the technical development of our client’s major software projects. 

In this exciting role, you will utilise your technical expertise to drive the success of our client’s smart metering products. Specifically, you will: 

- Take ownership of the architecture of our client’s security, MBUS, DLMS and ZigBee concepts/protocols 

- Drive the creation of test strategy, correctness and specifications, ensuring the correct understanding of specifications through R&D

- Build your understanding of market requirements and convert them into technical specifications/user stories 

- Provide guidance and advice to the Development Team 

- Help our client to further develop their software design and coding techniques  

- Prepare in-depth plans of developments and manage backlogged items, together with project management 

To be considered, you will need: 

- Previous experience as a technical architect 

- An in-depth understanding of embedded products and systems  

- The ability to understand and create technical documentation 

As a Technical Architect, you must have great problem-solving abilities, a highly organised approach and good communication skills. You’ll be unafraid of asking questions, highly analytical and methodical.

Knowledge of requirements capture tools would be beneficial to your application.
