I need a Director of Supply Chain Management with a rare blend of expertise which includes knowledge of optical communications & photonics, supplier identification & development, negotiation, procurement, logistics & operational management. The workforce of this business is made up of true innovators in their field, and the Director of Supply Chain Management will fit in well, as they themselves utilise their broad skills-base to innovate in all areas under their responsibility.

Maybe you can have a great day too, walking into your first day at work in your new job as the Director of Supply Chain Management - taking charge of their unique supply chain and sensing the opportunity and challenge that lay ahead. Be under no illusions, you will be using every facet of your technical and leadership know-how on a daily basis in an ever changing environment on the cusp of ramping up its operations. You will be responsible for the management of equipment, raw materials and logistics in an innovative photonics business with a primary focus always to ensure that operational & program objectives of the company are met. It will be your job to guarantee that all the steps required to purchase raw materials and get them to various points in the business are complete to meet customer demand. You will own all supplier agreements and the supplier selection process - this means you will undoubtedly have a strong network of relevant partners you can bring with you.
