Test Manager - Automation

We have an opportunity for a Test Manager to join Experis on a permanent basis. You will be working as part of our Employed Consultant team, on assignment with one of our clients who are a modern online global entity. The successful candidate will be working across a wide variety of projects and services and will involve managing all test phases on one or more release based projects/programmes.

Responsibilities

* Accountable for the output of a growing team of testers, who provide End to End Testing. This includes:

* Ensuring all work is effectively estimated and planned in, plans are regularly reviewed and communicated, and test phases / cycles are managed through to release

* Test risks and issues are well communicated and mitigated

* Tests and Test Packs are regularly reviewed to ensure full test coverage and maximum efficiency

* Capacity / resourcing levels are managed effectively

* Test processes within and outside of the department are regularly reviewed and improved continuously

* Test reports are published regularly

* Ensure that the team is empowered, yet has solid processes and good discipline

* Develop and maintain good relationships with key programme and business stakeholders

* Take a pro-active role with production issues, and ensure the testing of the issues and subsequent patch fixes are completed

* Represent the team in programme prioritisation and planning sessions when the Delivery Manager is unavailable

* Create detailed release plans for all of the departmental releases, and track and manage these through to release & warranty. This includes:

* Identifying and tracking all dependencies for a release

* Identifying, mitigating and communicating all risks/issues

* Tracking progress and provide regular reports

* Agile methodologies - Kanban

* Experience of technical background - Testing

* Excellent people skills - can work with a diverse range of personalities

* Excellent time management and organisational skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

* Exceptional planning skills - being able to plan for multiple features, across multiple components, with multiple skillsets, as well as being able to plan for increases or decreases in team capacity

* Proven track record of successful test and release management

* Proven track record of process improvement and governance

* Experience managing stakeholder relations, expectations and issues

* Brings energy and passion to the role
