As part of a large and established specialist contractor in construction, this unique opportunity is to join a new division that was formed to provide large blue chip clients, predominantly within the advanced technology sector, a turnkey consultancy service in which they provide innovative advice and solutions across all disciplines within construction. A service that helps facilitate a client's idea into a brief, but also to help develop and manage that idea from concept design all the way through to project completion and handover.

As a Technical Project Coordinator you will oversee construction projects throughout their full lifecycle and will be responsible for helping technical teams, across various disciplines, achieve deadlines, coordinate and facilitate designs, document control, monitor and track progress. You will also be assisting all teams with project programme management, cost control, proposal development, and cost plan management.

Our client isn't necessarily seeking like for like experience as a technical project coordinator, one of the most important factors is finding an individual who holds a minimum of a degree, ideally technical/technology bias, who wants to challenge themselves, learn new skills and progress in one of the leading construction companies in Europe.

Responsibilities

The Technical Project Coordinator will have the following responsibilities:

* Coordination between Project Management, Design, Commercial, and Client teams

* Management of sub-consultants with regards to design specifications, documentation, time and cost management of design in conjunction with commercial team

* Monitoring and tracking project progress which you will then report and escalate to management as necessary. Preparation of project proposals. Creation and maintenance of project documentation, plans, and reports

* Coordinate and communicate with clients to explain and discuss concepts of technology design as well as manage the expectations of the client throughout all design and build phases

Experience / Skills

The Technical Project Coordinator should possess the following experience and skills:

* Ideally experience working as Project Coordinator, Document Controller, or Assistant Project Manager within the construction industry however coordination, administrative and strong leadership experience will be considered from another technical market.

* Ideally experience working in, or at least a basic understanding of disciplines such as M&E, Building Services, BMS, ICT, ELV Controls etc.

* Must have a degree in a technical field (ICT, Science (any), or Engineering)

* Experience in a client facing role

* At least a basic understanding of ICT infrastructure, M&E systems, ELV systems, Specialist systems (Security, AV, fire alarms, etc.) However training will be provided for anyone with an appreciation and passion for technical innovation within construction.
