Rate - £ 330 per day

Description

The Field Marketing Manager is responsible for the delivery of on-time, on-budget regional marketing campaigns that meet targeted business outcomes effectively for the Life Sciences business unit for Europe ensuring that regional marketing plans are developed and executed in close collaboration with global marketing programs and the local sales leadership. They manage the regional marketing budget to deliver maximum and targeted ROI for the Life Sciences European sales team.

Roles & responsibilities

* Provides marketing leadership within Europe to support the Life Sciences sales organization in achieving its short, medium and long-term goals

* Works collaboratively with the other regional marketing leads to develop best practice across all marketing channels

* Develops the Life Sciences European marketing plan

* Delivers marketing support for Life Sciences European goals and sales targets

* Researches, selects, designs and manages live events to be included as tactics in the overall marketing mix for Life Sciences Europe, in collaboration with Sales

* Provides specialized expertise marketing discipline and has ownership of multiple or high impact marketing campaigns and events in order to meet business needs, drive results and build brand equity

* Leverages portfolio marketing messaging and shared services to deliver rapid response campaigns in line with sales pipeline gaps

* Ensures messaging is consistent across country programs and events in lock-step with Portfolio Marketing

* Ensures successful planning, implementation, and execution of Marketing campaigns, events and activities as defined by the strategic marketing plan, key customer messaging and proof points, brand ambassadorship; tactics, timing and measurement

* Facilitates the dissemination of up to date brand materials and ensures brand consistencies across Europe

* Assists in training internal teams, Sales reps, and customer-facing staff on marketing programs

* Lead conversion, pipeline analysis and acceleration programs

* Ensures swift follow up on leads by sales and drive campaign attribution of sales opportunities

* Generates buy-in and support for marketing programs from local sales team lead

* Oversees and manages the Life Sciences European field marketing budget

* Works with sales to identify suitable accounts for ABM programs

* Develops and executes account based marketing plans for nominated strategic accounts

* Co-ordinates the regionalization of marketing programs in support of local and global priorities

* Measures and reports on Life Sciences European programs and events

* Responsible for the tactical implementation of the marketing programs, including: integrated marketing campaigns, direct marketing, eMarketing, advertising, sales support, in alignment with Portfolio Marketing, Customer Marketing and Demand Strategy

* Ensures fast, clear communication of all relevant marketing activities and tools to relevant stakeholders, and collects regular feedback

* Assists in the creation of new ideas/approaches to effectively enhance the communication of key messages

Background and experience

* 4-7 years in B2B marketing

* 2 years or more in field marketing

* 2+ years experience working within the Life Sciences sector

* Proven experience working with sales teams and supporting programs to drive awareness and sales; actual sales experience highly desirable

* Experience in Event Planning

* Experience in Marketing Campaign Planning

* Experience in Budget Management

* Marketing Team Management in a B2B environment

* Experience in working in a matrix organisation

* Ability to demonstrate track record of success in all key areas of responsibility

* Inbound marketing strategy/execution experience

* Ability to communicate the marketing plan to key stakeholders and ability to gather feedback and refine plans accordingly

* Short-term and long-term marketing plan development, market segment targeting and campaign goal setting

* Ability to identify and describe a local market opportunity and local customer base

* Ability to translate solution and product benefits into campaigns focused on buyer needs, design a campaign portfolio that addresses a range of buyer needs, and develop campaign-specific messaging

* Deep understanding of Life Sciences buyer personas, buyer and customer needs, and the customer lifecycle

* Understands the organization's sales structure, sales goals and sales enablement activities

* Understands local go-to-market and account strategies and be able to interlock with sales teams

* Target segmentation analysis and building business cases for new customer acquisition

* B2B sales cycle and how to identify opportunities to maximize demand creation, pipeline contribution and sales opportunity acceleration

* How to clearly articulate a market-specific value proposition and tailor it to fit a variety of program requirements

* Demand creation performance measurement

* How to market to a range of B2B buyers using a wide variety of offers and delivery mechanisms

* Understands how to use social media in an overall demand creation approach

* Market trends within the Life Sciences sector
