Design Manager (Structural/Civil)

Are you a Civil or Structural Engineer with experience of Steel Building Structures looking to step up into a Managerial position, have development to Engineering Manager and have the opportunity to develop a department under you?

On offer is a varied and creative role as a Design Manager with a well-established and expanding global company. You will receive training, mentoring to become chartered and development to Engineering Manager.

You will be the go to point of contact for in-depth analysis of building physics, be the technical liaison for Architects, engineers and contractors, to mentor and lead team meetings. Typical project size ranges from £600k - £9million.

This global company have multiple sites across the UK and cover 5 continents. This position will initially lead a small team but though a structured growth plan the company are looking to double headcount in their Birmingham office over the next 5 years.

This role would suit a Civil or Structural Engineer from a Design background, looking for the next step in to a managerial position, to have dedicated mentoring and career development prospects to Engineering Manager.

The Role:

*Structural Design on range of building projects

*Full training / mentoring to become Chartered and opportunities for progression to Senior and Managerial roles

*Main point of contact for all technical queries

The Person:

*Civil / Structural Engineer (experience of Steel Building Structures)
