Our client are currently looking for an experienced SC cleared Security Consultant to work on an initial 9 month contract remotely but with a requirement to travel at short notice.

Applicants must have the following skills:

*Broad knowledge of Information Technology Security;

*Significant understanding of the operation of an effective Information Security Management System (ISMS);

*Significant understanding of the ISO27001 standard, its domains and compliance thereof;

*Understanding of the GDPR regulations and implementation of appropriate privacy controls;

*Experience of working in teams undertaking Compliance and Maturity Assessments;

*Background in Central Government and/or Commercial practices and procedures;

*Trustworthy and discrete;

*Excellent interpersonal skills;

*Excellent written skills;

*Good negotiation skills;

*Well organised and proactive;

*Experience of process set development would be an advantage.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

*Arranging and conducting Security Compliance / Maturity related Assessments with individual Apps UK engagement teams;

*Supporting the production of Security Compliance / Maturity Assessment Reports;

*Generating Corrective Action Plans from requirements identified during Security Maturity Compliance Assessment Reporting;

*Supporting the monitoring of agreed corrective actions through to resolution, liaising with action owners as necessary;

*Keeping records in accordance with Security Compliance / Maturity process;

*Contributing to the provision of Management Information pertaining to Security Compliance / Maturity activities undertaken;

*Assisting with ad hoc enquiries from management.

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 10 weeks.
