The Project Manager will play a key role in managing and leading a project team of BP, Contract and Service Delivery Organization staff to execute a portfolio of projects for BP’s global network services. The object of the project team is to deliver telecommunications / network impacting projects within budget, on schedule and with no harm to people or the environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Project Manager’s duties and responsibilities are as follows:
- Manage and lead an integrated team of BP, Contract and Service Delivery Organization (SDO) Staff to execute a portfolio of projects
- Ensure health, safety and environment (HSE) compliance is met and that a safe working environment exists
- Adhere to BP’s project management processes (PDM) by developing and maintaining the following artifacts: project plan, budget forecast, issue/risk register, RACI and bi-weekly status reporting
- Develop and maintain a communication plan with key Stakeholder(s)
- Ensure that schedules for all projects are established, maintained and that targets are met
- Coordinate with PMO to ensure projects health checks are performed, project reporting systems and archives maintained.
- Ensure that appropriate project assurance steps are conducted throughout the project life cycle
- Ensure transition plans for projects to operations are prepared, agreed to and appropriately implemented;
EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
Required:
- Fluent in English and German
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time in order to fulfil the responsibilities of this position;
- PMI and/or Prince Certification (active)
- UK based
Plus:
- Experience managing telecommunications projects
- Experience in Retail (i.e. Service Station)
