Big Data QA Developer (Testing Hadoop Ecosystems Python Scala Hadoop Spark). Leading financial consultancy is seeking a skilled Big Data QA Developer to build tests for a high profile big data project utilising Python and Scala technology within a CI/CD environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to take on a great deal of autonomy and develop your skills within a hugely successful company.

As a Big Data QA Developer you will take on the challenge of creating effective Integration and Unit tests for big data applications. You will focus mainly on Greenfield projects, being involved in all aspects of testing from unit and integration of the ETL through to testing various endpoints of accessing the data.

Based in the city, you will join a friendly and passionate team who believe in continuous learning and development.

Requirements:

*Strong coding skills (Python and / or Scala)

*Experience of testing the Hadoop ecosystem and Big Data technologies (HDFS, Hive, Spark, Kafka)

*Experience with uTest, ScalaTest, py.test, nose or similar

*Familiar with CI/CD tools

*Experience of using Docker

*Experience with a JavaScript testing framework (Jasmine, Mocha, QUnit, Karma)

*Excellent communication skills
