IT Infrastructure Support Analyst - Canary Wharf, London - Contract
Contract length: Initial 3 Month Contract
Day Rate: £170 - £220 per day dependant on experience
Start Date: Immediate
Computer Futures are seeking an Infrastructure Support Analyst to work in Canary Wharf for an initial 3 month contract period.
Key Tasks:
* 1st and 2nd Line Technical Support via Telephone, e-mail, remote and face to face interaction for Desktop PCs, Laptops, Printers or any other IT Infrastructure Equipment
* Administration and maintenance of Windows based Servers, Active Directory, MS Exchange, SAN and Backup systems
* Administration and Maintenance of Company's communication systems including Telephony Systems, Internet connection, Mobile phones etc.
* Liaising with outside IT Providers for technical support a quick resolution of issues.
* To be able to quickly and competently diagnose system faults and to resolve or externally escalate them when required
* To be able to learn on the job and to put that knowledge to use in reducing the time required to solve issues
* To Prepare, update and maintain the documentation related to IT Infrastructure policies and procedures.
Essential Skills:
* Computer Related Degree or Equivalent Experience
* Experience and sound working knowledge of the following areas:
* Windows Server 2008/2012 Administration including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Creation and usage of Group Policy etc.
* Troubleshooting of Desktop PC, Laptop hardware , OS and applications (Windows 8.1, Windows 7, MS Office)
* Administration of MS Exchange Server 2010 or above
* Server hardware including HP DLs, Dell, Netapp etc.
* IT helpdesk process and Tools
* VMWare Virtualisation
* Knowledge of Networking i.e. OSI Layer, routing, switching
* Minimum of 3 year experience working in a similar Role
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
* "Hands on" Experience and a willingness to learn
* Customer focussed approach
* Ability to work under pressure whilst demonstrating a flexible, enthusiastic and hardworking attitude
Desirable Skills:
* Recognised Industry Certification
Experience and Knowledge of the following areas:
* VMWare and Netapp Storage Administration
* Citrix Xenapp and related Technologies
* Linux and Unix-like operating systems
* Set-up and use of Monitoring tools
* Web Server like Apache, JBoss
