Software Engineering Manager

A large medical technology company are looking to appoint a hands-on Software Engineering Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. Ideally you will have Exposure in a GMP regulated environment (FDA/ISO) and previous experience leading large engineering product development teams.
In this role you will be responsible for:
* Develop software engineering resources, processes and tools
* Strategic planning, budgeting and hiring.
* A background with Microsoft software development tools
* Provide technical leadership to a large team of Software Engineers
* Coaching, mentoring and dealing with conflict
* Form effective relationships with stakeholders
* Participate in project planning and execution to meet project timelines and deliverables
Skills required:
* BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related Engineering discipline
* Exposure in a GMP regulated environment (FDA/ISO)
* Minimum of five years leading engineering product development teams
* Minimum of five years of experience in Windows development environment
* Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Developer's Studio, C#/.NET
* Demonstrated understanding of network protocols, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Microsoft software tools for development, including cloud development
* Demonstrated understanding and usage of Microsoft Project
* Demonstrated experience with Software Configuration Management tools (source code control, defect tracking, continuous integration build tools)
