IT Business partner / IT Relationship Manager / Technology team leader / ERP / SAP / Manufacturing / Engineering

Spring Technologies large scale British Aerospace / manufacturing / engineering company are currently in the market seeking a talented and passionate IT Business Partner / IT Relationship Managers to come on board as a key member of the organization, and a direct partner to the leadership teams of our two large plants in the UK.

You'll be responsible to understand the group's business strategy and help identify and effectively communicate ways to use technology to help achieve strategic business goals. You'll play a key role in identifying technology solutions to business problems and representing business interests within the IT organization.

The IT Business Partner leads and manages the IT agenda in the region and has overall accountability for the successful delivery of new and existing IT initiatives.

Other activities include:

*Help ensure that IT projects in the UK deliver the expected business value, and execute on budget / schedule

*Partner with local, Group, and Corporate resources to evaluate and improve IT systems (reports, databases, applications, etc.)

*Provide point of contact for escalation of IT-related issues and interface to service providers and suppliers

*Facilitate communication between our SAP program team and the local business leaders, and help to coordinate local resources

*Represent the needs of the UK plants to IT service and application owners

*Facilitate site based activities (regionally) including compliance audits and the IT budget process.

*Communication of company-wide IT initiatives to the local business stakeholders

Basic Qualifications:

*Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

*Experience as a site IT manager, IT relationship manager, or technology team leader

Preferred Qualifications:

*Proven experience in Business Systems including either Engineering (PLM) or ERP either as a consultant or an expert user.

*Proven knowledge of process mapping and process optimization. Basic understanding of business finance and how IT improvement can impact business performance.

*Ability to influence thinking or to convince others. Must be an articulate and persuasive leader who can communicate effectively with all levels of seniority within the business, and who is able to communicate to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff.

*Working with cross-functional geographically dispersed teams is a key requirement. A high degree of tact and diplomacy in order to manage the natural tension between local agility and driver towards broader standards.

This position can be located in Tewkesbury or Wolverhampton, and is expected to travel regularly between both.
