Head of Test - Competitive Salary - Central London

I am currently running a search for a Head of Test to join one of my financial software clients based in Central London. This company is a market leader in their field where they produce software focused on trading and execution. The ideal candidate would be someone who has some experience in the financial software industry and ideally within the trading space OR… Someone who has the attitude and wants to learn about the finance industry will still be considered.

They're looking for either a Lead QA who wishes to move into a more managerial position or an already established Head of Test looking for a new challenge. The role will see you managing and mentoring a team split across the various business units, ensuring the highest quality business features are delivered.

The ideal candidate will have the relevant experience of managing and mentoring a team, whilst still being a key 'hands-on' member of the QA function, delivering high-quality test. Sitting within the Fintech space the role requires candidates to have relevant FS experience or knowledge of Functional FIX protocol testing, specifically VeriFIX.

You will be reporting into the Head of Technology, and the key point of contact for Product Owners, Project Managers, and Developers.

Skills Required:

* Experience of working for a finical software company

* Knowledge of FIX or connection to exchanges

* Extensive knowledge of object-oriented programming languages

* Testing frameworks, Selenium, SOAP UI, Gatling, JMeter

* Strong knowledge of SQL.

* Strong command line knowledge of UNIX/Linux

* Strong knowledge of current commercial and open source testing

* Experience of designing acceptance test criteria for functional requirements

Experience Required:

* Experience of managing a test team in a fast-paced environment

* Experience writing and maintaining automated test frameworks ideally using Selenium or similar testing tools

* Managing offshore resources and third parties
