An ever-expanding international organisation require an experienced SAP Project Manager to join their IT division in Portsmouth. Working within the PMO, reporting to the Programme Manager and working alongside other Project Managers you will manage a number of business critical SAP projects, which involve templated deployments, as well as development of new capability. This inflight programme is planned to run for several years.

This position will be responsible for either 1 large project or several smaller ones. All are complex, require matrix management experience and have challenging deadlines & budgets.

Responsibilities

* Define and gain business sign-off for the Project deliverables and scope

* Create a credible project plan

* Undertake resource scheduling and allocation that ensures your project delivers but is always aligned with other project plans

* Produce clear & concise status reporting. Use the latter to quickly identify where remedial action is required and follow through with that activity

* Identify and manage risks & issues. Escalate when appropriate

* Initiate & build successful relationships with the end user community, key stakeholders

* Take responsibility for ensuring that commitments are met

* Provide clear leadership. Coach and develop skills within your project team

Key Skills

* Experience in delivering logistic/procurement/MRO/customer service type projects

* Strong Project Management skills with a SAP background

* Experience of managing large projects with significant budget (£10m+).

* Experienced in all phases of the project life-cycle, especially Preparation, Blueprint and Realization

* Good cross-functional SAP knowledge.

* Managed teams which are across multi-locations, function and include external SI and contractors

* Ability to gain instant credibility with End Users

* Expert in PowerPoint Presentations, Visio, Word Documents and Microsoft Project

* Experience across the following SAP modules: SAP WM, CS, MRO, PP, PM

* Travel will be required with some overnight stays away from home
