Application Support Engineer (Cassandra SQL Python/Perl C++). Global financial software house with in excess of 2,000 institutional clients is seeking a senior, hands-on Application Support Engineer. You'll manage and support a highly transactional, business critical system. Daily activities could include deploying complex in-house applications; managing incident resolution (from identification, working with the development team, communicating with the client through to delivery of solution) and developing tools to improve efficiency and ensure compliance.

You'll be working with a range of technology including Cassandra, SQL, C++ and Python and will receive training to continually improve your skillset and advance your career. Excellent career progression opportunities.

Requirements:

*Experience of supporting real-time transactional systems

*Good knowledge of Apache Cassandra NoSQL database, SQL scripting skills

*Scripting / coding skills with Python, Perl and / or C++

*Natural problem solver with strong analysis skills

*Excellent communication skills with the ability to form strong and effective working relationships
