A senior developer is required to lead the design and development of an AI-based data centre scheduling product. This will involve integrating behavioural data into a policy-based scheduling algorithm, which will in turn be integrated into existing data centre scheduling systems.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for liaising and co-developing code with engineers at a partner organisation based in China, as well as performing appropriate requirements gathering at potential customers within that region.

The successful applicant will also from time to time be required to take on a customer-facing role (attending conferences and industry events nationally and internationally, working with development partners, and requirements gathering with potential customers).

Requirements

- A PhD degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field

- Fluency in technical Mandarin

- Significant experience in developing data centre scheduling products

- Experience in using advanced machine-learning / AI techniques

- Strong development skills in one or more high-level languages (C#/Java/Javascript/Python)

Desirable skills

- Experience of working with the Chinese data centre industry

- Experience and/or knowledge of developing and using RESTful Web Services

- Experience in using one or more RDBM systems (MySQL/Oracle/Postgres/MSSQL)
