NATS' purpose is to advance aviation and keep the skies safe. Our world-renowned Analytics team is expanding and looking to fill a number of roles, at a range of grades and contract types (permanent and contractor). NATS Analytics optimises decisions of our internal and external customers using a combination of Big Data, scientific analysis and our knowledge of the air traffic management domain.
Our department is a vibrant set of experts who work with fascinating data - we're looking for people skilled in analytics who can offer a sound blend of technical, interpersonal and commercial skills.
We have multiple roles available for different experience levels; from experienced Research Analysts through to recent graduates.
A good numerate degree and a track record of success in applying appropriate techniques to support business decisions are essential.
We have opportunities available in each of our five teams: Safety; Airports & Consultancy; Environment & Airspace Simulation; Forecasting & Business Analysis and Data Science.
You will carry out robust analysis and problem-solving using a range of bespoke tools and programmes, as well as standard spreadsheet and database applications. Experience in mathematical/statistical modelling and tools support/development would be an advantage (e.g. R, data mining, SQL, Business Intelligence systems, Python, C#, machine learning, simulation, Big Data tools and visualisation).
You will possess the ability to manipulate large data sets, draw out the key information and have a drive for continuous technical improvement. Key areas of expertise include the ability to work well with operational customers, interpret their requirements and deliver appropriate information to enable insight and support their strategic intentions.
