Working for an innovative Machine Learning start-up within the financial sector, you will have the opportunity to work with innovative technologies in order to implement APIs which will process large amounts of transactional and financial data, which will support trading. As Scala Engineer, you will join a small, agile team alongside Data Scientists, Engineers and Financial Experts in order to enhance a cutting-edge Machine Learning platform.

THE ROLE:

* Utilise Scala to build REST APIs

* Support real-time trading through building robust systems in Scala

* Create data management tools to support the work of Data Scientists and Engineers

YOUR SKILLS:

* Background in Scala programming

* Back End stack experience, including testing and API frameworks

* Familiarity with Agile methodology

Although not essential, if you can demonstrate an understanding of the latest big data trends or cloud-based technologies, particularly AWS, this could enhance your application.
