My very well established Irish owned worldwide product based company is seeking a Lead Network Engineer to join their expanding team.

This is a new exciting opening the first hire within this function.

My Irish owned client has grown at least 20 percent year on year since opening.

They are also very finical stable with a market cap of over 2 billion last year with the share price quadrupling in the past 24 months.

You will be working alongside head of IT operations to develop a strategy on managing networks and datacenters globally.

This role is ideal for a leader passionate about Networks and believes in working in a happy environment for a game changing company.

You will work on securing networks within the R+D environment externally and internally. You will also work with vendors and plan out the management of the budgets, hiring,

make this role your own it's a green field project you will have a number of network engineer reporting into you.

Role: You will be responsible for coordinating and managing all network operations within each of our datacenter and development locations, facilitating the deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting and growth of our award winning SaaS application. Network & Security Management, provide expert network security knowledge; participate in proposing and developing network and security solutions. Implement appropriate procedural and technical access control mechanisms, participate in incident management, security assessments, and vulnerability testing and make recommendations for corrective actions. Responsible for network uptime, resilience and maintaining / improving existing stats.

Minimum requirements to get an interview:

Leading a team.

Thorough knowledge at expert level of LAN technologies (switches, routers, wireless and firewalls) including centralized monitoring and management in large-scale, high-availability environments.

Advanced knowledge of large scale LAN/WAN switching and routing implementation and operation with specific knowledge of VLAN, VPN and MPLS networking;

Thorough knowledge of IT infrastructure, TCP/IP, networking and information system security principles, practices and technologies;
