An automotive company are seeking a Chief Engineer to join their team in Birmingham. If you have experience working with software in embedded C and C++ or knowledge of microprocessor and digital signal processors, then you may be the Engineer we're looking for.

What will you be doing?

As a Chief Engineer, you'll be responsible for defining strategy in relation to Electronic Hardware Design and Embedded Software. You'll have the ability to apply knowledge of transmissions, software controls, electronic design, hardware and hydraulics systems. In addition to this, you'll coordinate the input for proposals and quotes through to submission and follow up for response.

What skills/experience should you have?

* ISO 26262 Functional Safety

* FMEA Failure Mode Effects Analysis

* Research & Development background

* 10+ years' Experience working with OEM or Tier 1 Suppliers

* Software in Embedded C and C++
