The successful JavaScript Developer much have the below skills/experience:

* Considerable commercial experience in OOD development

* Significant role in delivering or leading software development projects

* End to end project lifecycle experience on a number of software development projects

* Practical experience of introducing new efficient processes or concepts in the development environment

* Ability to work to tight time scales in a commercially driven environment

* Knowledge of refactoring techniques

* Ability to quickly grasp new concepts

* Ability to collect and refine new skills as required

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills

* Demonstrable experience of actively being a team player

* Experience using tools to support rapid development, iteration and delivery

* Ability to mentor other developers

Technology

* Experience with more than one core technology: JavaScript, Enterprise Java, Perl or Experience developing and maintaining geospatially-enabled applications that provide web based analysis, visualisation and reporting capabilities

* Experience with web mapping technologies such as OpenLayers

* Experience publishing, maintaining and consuming OGC-compliant data and map services: WPS, WMS, WFS

* Experience with Quantum GIS, PyQGIS, GeoWebCache, GeoServer and PostGIS, GDAL, QGIS Server.

* Experience of front-end development technologies: JavaScript (AngularJS, jQuery or RiotJS), HTML (v4, v5), CSS (v2, v3), sass.

* Experience of using back-end storage in practice: SQL or noSQL

* Experience of using version control systems: eg git, Subversion

* Experience using Linux as a developer

* Experience working in the Agile delivery models - such as SCRUM and/or KANBAN frameworks, together with XP engineering practices*Experience using TDD and/or BDD methodology in practice to drive development

* Basic docker knowledge.
