Spring Technology are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our leading clients.

Based in Guildford on a Permanent basis the client are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator.

Joining the clients current network and infrastructure team, Working closely with the development and support teams, responsibilities will include the day to day management and maintenance of existing infrastructure covering development, staging and live environments. These services are deployed across our multiple international data centres and increasingly expanding into the cloud.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

*Supporting existing core Machine To Machine network, providing access to numerous servers across multiple data centre locations

*Systems administration of Linux based internal server support infrastructure

*Systems administration of internal back office services (Windows & Linux)

*Internal and external documentation of solutions

*Shared out-of-hours emergency on-call support on a rota basis to meet company SLAs

*Resolve issues escalated by support or development

*Develop new products or services

*Suggest and implement new solutions and architectural enhancements

*Conform to and enforce the companies ISO27001 processes.

Key Experience.

*Systems Administration experience, based on Linux (CentOS/RHEL)

*Some networking knowledge useful in terms of VLANs, Radius Authentication, IPTables, NetFlow, GRE / IPsec, all levels of the IPv4.

*Experience of multiple network vendors, e.g. Cisco, HP, Dell, Lenovo

*Knowledge of Amazon web services.

*Database & Messaging e.g. MySQL, ActiveMQ

*Web servers (Apache)

*Load balancers (Haproxy / Keepalived)

*Monitoring (Nagios)

*Programming / Scripting in: Perl, Python, PHP, Bash, etc.

*Revision control systems (Subversion)

*Knowledge of mobile network technologies and concepts advantageous.

*Clear written and verbal skills, meeting requirements of our ISO27001 certification.
