We are looking for a Desktop Support Analyst to join one of the UK's leading engineering support services organisations. On a day to day basis the Desktop Support Analyst will maintain, support and implement the desktop environments at a second line level to include fault fix, swap out of equipment and request fulfilment as required across the business on a multiple site basis. There is also the opportunity to assist with project work both during and outside normal working hours. The Desktop Support team cover the whole of the UK, and this role will work alongside another team member at site.

Knowledge Skill Set and Role Requirement:

* Ability to problem solve complex technical issues.

* Provide onsite and remote 2nd Line desktop support to users in a MS Win7 and Win10 environment.

* Configure and provide support for business use mobile devices.

* Answering support queries via phone, email and in person.

* Work with a service desk tool to ensure requests are logged, updated and closed to agreed SLA's.

* Resolve any problems/queries relating to the PC's, laptops, Printers, LAN, Videoconference, and other IT and telecommunications systems.

* Liaise with 3rd line teams to provide support to remote server, network equipment and infrastructure.

* A strong understanding of the MS Office suite.

* Knowledge of Citrix, Active Directory, IE, Direct Access, Sync Centre, Lync/Skype for Business are advantageous.

* Ensure Operational and Technical Documentation is maintained to agreed standards.

* Maintain Desktop environments to agreed standards.

* Provide excellent customer service to the end customer.

Other Working conditions:

Ability and flexibility to travel between sites. There will also be a requirement to participate in and support a rostered callout arrangement on a rotational basis.
