Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with senior management as appropriate and to maintain relevant records

Proficient/skilled in the use of Microsoft Office systems including Word, Excel, Outlook and SharePoint

Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of good customer care / service

Experience of supporting meetings, including the preparation of agendas and minutes/action points

Experience of producing documents to high quality standards including carrying out data quality checks

Knowledge of general office procedures within a work environment

A basic understanding of the principles of records management

Experience of working in a comparable role without direct close supervision

Ability to demonstrate techniques for managing conflicting priorities and to work effectively to tight deadlines

Ability to work on own initiative within agreed limits

Experience of working as part of a team

Ability to understand and observe the council's equal opportunities and health and safety policies

To carry out all duties having regard to an employee's responsibility in accordance with the council's information governance policies and procedures
