The Company

My client is a leading IT Services company based in multiple offices in Berkshire, who specialise in enterprise level solutions and are designed to deliver, build, sell and support software from scratch. They have a global outreach and an aim to solve the most complex problems for their customers. They are an FTSE registered company and one of the largest technology companies in the world.

The Role

The successful Developer will design, develop, test and provide support for a large range of IT solutions. They will work as a member of an engineering team designing, developing, and maintaining multiple products across a multitude of digital platforms.

My Client is looking for:

* A Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems

* A proven knowledge of business processes and functions in the eCommerce and eDelivery domains

* Experience developing applications using web services

* A solid knowledge of: PERL, HTTPS, firewall, Java/J2EE, HTML/DHTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, XML, SOAP Web Services, SQL, ORACLE, MySQL, MS-SQL, Apache/Tomcat, WebLogic, SVN etc.

* Experience with Struts and Spring MVC frameworks

* Experience developing web applications that follow security best practices, including protection against cross-site scripting and SQL injection

* Version control using SVN or Git. Code build, inspection, test and delivery tools such as Maven, Ant, Make files, Jenkins and SonarQube.

* Knowledge of UNIX and Linux, Linux system administration, command-line tools etc.

Required Soft Skills

* Excellent analytical skills

* Highly organised and structured approach to work

* Have strong communications skills to conduct interviews and make presentations both in face-to-face meetings and remotely over the telephone

* Excellent team player with strong verbal and written communication and collaboration skills

* Fluent written and spoken English
