Senior Software Engineer - C/C++/Python

Salary is negotiable for the right person

Cambridge start-up working on disruptive technologies within the scientific sector, now looking to expand and add a Senior Software Engineer into the team.

Senior Software Engineer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, defining system functionality and writing code in various languages, like C, C++ or Python.

You will be experienced in the full software development life cycle (SDLC) from preliminary system analysis to test and deployment. The Senior Software Engineer is expected to be highly self-sufficient and able to get the job done.

The essential skills of the Senior Software Engineer are:

5+ years proven software development experience

Ability and experience developing software in Python and C / C++

Proficiency in software engineering tools

Ability to document requirements and specifications

BSc degree, or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.

It would also be beneficial if you had experience with CUDA, but not essential. The ideal candidate will also have good algorithm knowledge and exposure.
