Based in East England, this is a fantastic opportunity for an Applications Engineer to join an established organisation at the forefront of the Power Electronics Industry.

The Applications Engineer will act as a Team Leader and will also have a hands on role analysing customer requirements and defining new integrated circuits. You will use advanced simulation techniques and prototyping methodologies to develop and validate algorithms and topologies. You will also be responsible for providing support to other applications teams, participate in design verification testing and characterisation and cooperate with the IC design team.

The successful Applications Engineer must have a relevant degree in electronics with a proven background in the following:

* design, specification and developing SMPS

* a broad understanding of power conversion topologies (Flyback, Forward, and Half Bridge)

* magnetics design knowledge.
